Mount a Windows Share from Linux

If you've got a shared drive on a Windows server and want to use it from a Linux server, here's how to do it.

 mount -t cifs //ip-of-the-windows-server/share-name-of-the-windows-serverĀ -o username=user,password=password /mountpoint

Example

mount -t cifs //192.168.1.2/c$ -o username=administrator,password=adminpassword /media/windowsserver/
